National Lutheran Schools Week

Monday - Hip Hip Hooray for Pajama Day!

And in math we had a demonstration of full, half full, and empty

Tuesday - Fashion Disaster Day!

In math we covered designs in more than one way - a great spatial awareness exercise!

Wednesday - Buddy Color Day
Our mission gifts at  chapel

We got to sit with our NLSW Buddy Class -
Mrs. Riemenschneider's 6th graders!

It's a bit blurry, but this is the cross made by our students.
Every student in the school helped paint the pieces of wood
that were assembled into this cross.

After chapel, our Buddy Class came to our room to work on
 a couple of Buddy activities...

Our sixth grade friends helped us write what we love
about our Lutheran School.

Then we all cut snowflakes to decorate the gym for
Friday's Winter Olympics!

Here we are with our Buddy Class - wearing our RED!

In math we matched a quantity to a number...

...and compared them to our neighbor to see if we had the
same number of cubes.

Today we began a 'Pop Art' style project. We saw samples
of Andy Warhol's art.

Writing about Buddy Color Day

Working on a Memory Art project

Snack time!

Thursday - Ultimate Spirit Day
Our day started with two plays performed by the 7th graders:

The first was...you guessed it! The Cat in the Hat!

The second was The Three Billy Goats Gruff.
Well done, Seventh Grade!

Showing our Bobcat Pride!
In the afternoon, we went to watch the Eighth Grade vs. Faculty Volleyball Game

Randomly-chosen students got to try and hit a teacher with
a Volleyball. If they did, they won a prize!

Look what Clark won!

Friday - Sports Day!

At 2:00 we got to go to the gym to watch the Winter Olympics!

The parading of the Olympic Torch and Flags
Then there was Hockey

Bobsled

And Figure Skating by Misters Debrick and Marolf

and of course some students.
