The week before Christmas Break!

Our week began on Sunday afternoon with our Christmas Service. Don't we look sharp? We look our best as we share the story of Jesus' Birth.

On Monday, Mrs. Haun came to read!

On Tuesday we finished our African Christmas Art. You really should come in and see it if you haven't already!

We did a lot of preparing for Christmas. Here we are decorating gift bags!

On Thursday afternoon we did some Candy Cane Science. Here we are predicting how many of each candies it will take to balance the large candy cane.

Our Guest Art Teacher

You may have heard about our guest art teacher. She is, in fact, my sister, who is staying with us while she mends from a broken leg. After Christmas she will return to teaching in Ghana. Here are a few shots of a couple of art lessons with her.

Last week we did a Peek-a-Boo Christmas project.

As you can see, kindergarteners can sleep through anything!

Today we heard the book "The Stork in the Baobab Tree" and began some African-flavored art!

Finley takes questions after doing her oral Book Report.

Thursday was Pilgrim Day. In the afternoon we got to help make cornbread muffins for the feast.

We also wrote about A Day in the Life of a Pilgrim Boy or Girl,
