Week Fourteen

Tuesday - Wampanoag Day

In the morning we learned about the Wampanoag way of life and a few of their words.
We also played a Native American counting game with small rocks. It is similar to the bean game that came home.

We also made Wampanoag Headbands with Native American symbols and our version of 'Indian Names'.

In the afternoon we "tracked animals",

Played an Native American game called "Hurl the Log"

We wrote about whether or not we would like to have been a Wampanoag child long ago.

We made 'beaded' necklaces.

Wednesday - Pilgrim Day

We learned about the chores of Pilgrim Boys and Pilgrim Girls.

We made pilgrim hats...

And corn bread muffins.

We practiced being Hunters and Gatherers like the Pilgrims.

And we played Naughts and Crosses (Now known as Tic Tac Toe)

And we finished the day with a story shared by Autumn's Nanny.

And one thing more...

Happy Birthday Mrs.Runge!

Thursday - Feast Day
My we were excited!

First we made thank you notes for the people who help make Zion great!

Waiting for the Feast to begin

Thank you to Student Council and parents who served us and our guests.

Friday
Count the room

"This is America, Charlie Brown" does a great job of telling the Pilgrim Story!

We assembled a map of the world to see where the Pilgrims started
from and where they landed.

A couple of Thankgiving Memory games

Have you seen our PAK turkeys?  So cute!
