Second Week of April

Jellybean Day

We watched a video on how Jellybeans are made.

Each student bagged their own set of 10 jellybeans...

Then they tallied and graphed their beans.

and created a class book of everyone's combinations.

In the afternoon we died jellybean themed syllable sorting,

and medial vowel sorting.
We listened for sounds at the beginning, middle, or end of a word...

And did a Jellybean Count the Room with self-checking using QR codes.

Happy Jellybean Day!

Celebrating Easter

Remember...before Easter break we 'sealed the tomb'?
Monday morning we celebrated the open and EMPTY tomb!

Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia!

We made Easter collages

Math Fun

Kindergarten math is so much fun! Tangrams, coins, and dominoes!

Baseball Day

God gave us a beautiful morning for our baseball game. We had the diamond to ourselves and everyone got a chance to bat. Final Score 2 to 1.

Bobcats

Cardinals

In the afternoon we played a different version - Sight Word Baseball.
This time it was a tie!

We also matched digital and analog times to the hour...

Wrote Baseball Words we found around the room...

Designed our own Jerseys...

and practiced counting by 5's and 10's.

How great to be outside with no coats again!

These boys were building an ant hill.

Today we had our snack outside...just for fun.

Sharing the Good News!

In Jesus Time we made a tool to help us share this week's story
of the women who found the Empty Tomb!
