Rock Project

Zion elementary students meet monthly with mixed age groups as "Faith Families" to do different activities and grow in their faith.  This week they learned about being Living Stones.  They learned that we are a living stone alive in the Lord and together we make a spiritual house dedicated to the worship of our Lord.  Each child decorated a stone to be used as an outdoor art reminder that we are living stones and we stand in Christ.

Though Early Childhood classes are not yet part of the Faith Families, we did get the opportunity to each decorate and contribute a rock. :-)

Last Week of Kindergarten

We got to see a few more vehicles this week. :-)

Yesterday's fun!
Mrs. Helmkamp came in to teach us how to use the Beebot.

We are programming!

We also worked on our solid shapes:

cones

spheres

and cylinders.
Finally, we made "peanut butter and jelly" compound words.

For a little added excitement, a medical helicopter landed right outside our door! The good news is no one was injured or ill, it was simply a career being shared in Mrs. Reed's class! Very exciting for us to watch!

And our last time saying the pledges as kindergarteners!

Now we are...
