Change War is Heating Up!

I am so very proud of our generous kindergarteners! Many have brought in their own money. Some have brought in change every day! Our huge jar is looking good, but yesterday someone hit us with a $20 bill! Will we recover?

Clean-up Helpers

What an enthusiastic group of cleaning helpers we had on Friday! When I told the kindergarteners we wanted to spiff up the room for this Sunday's Open House, they couldn't wait to get started! Here are a couple of shots of their handiwork. Wish I had 'before' pics to show you!
Classroom Library in perfect order!

Book Boxes tidied up!

Cubbies neat and tidy!

Thank you, kindergarteners!

Eighth Grade Spanish Students Come to Read

The eighth grade spanish class visited and taught us some spanish letters, numbers, and color words. Then they read some weather books they had written. It was fun!

Donuts for Dads

What fun! Words aren't necessary - the pictures tell the story!

Making Bread

After reading Bread, Bread, Bread by Ann Morris, and Everybody Bakes Bread by Norah Dooley, we made some simple bread of our own. Ask your kindergartener what the four ingredients were! (Answer: flour, salt, yeast, water)

First we mixed it well in a bag.

Then we shaped it, and put it on the pan.

When it was done, we ate it or took it home!
