Week Before Spring Break

St. Patrick's Day

For Math we played a St. Patrick's Day Horseshoe Race,
which gave us practice in adding and in comparing
number values.

In the afternoon we made word family shamrocks,

...and deciphered a secret message from
Lucky the Leprechaun,

which we then read to a friend.

Finally, we made leprechauns to go with our writing:
Are Leprechauns Real?

Visitors

On Tuesday, some sixth grade students came in to explain their
BobCaps project:

6th grade is working with GreenTreePlastics to recycle plastic caps and lids into benches for our campus.  See Sycamore for the specific list of lids we can accept.

On Wednesday we had a guest music teacher - Eddie's mom! We learned some super warm up exercises as well as a fun song!
