This and That

On Tuesday some sixth graders gave us a brief presentation
on the recipients of our Chapel Offerings.

Milestone Ministry

Zion Lutheran Church has a children's ministry called "Milestone Ministry."   There are four Faith Milestone topics that are covered in the ministry:  Milestone 2(How to use a Children's Bible with your toddler), Milestone 4(Prayer Life with your preschooler), Milestone 6(Worship Life with children that have started to read), and Milestone 8(How to use a Bible with children that are proficient readers).  Each Milestone is covered in a one hour class and then there is a celebration the following weekend during one of Zion's weekend services.   Sara Kuhlmann leads this ministry and would love for you and your child(ren) to attend!
There is a Milestone 6 class coming up on Sunday, April 26th.  Any child that is 6 or 7 years old is eligible to attend. The focus of this class is for 6/7 year olds and their parents to learn how to keep this age group involved in worship.   This is a 1 week class during the Sunday School hour (9:30-10:30 a.m.). This Milestone concludes with the 6/7 year olds and their parents being presented a worship bag during the following week’s worship service. Parents will need to RSVP to Sara Kuhlmann, Director of Early Childhood at skuhlmann@zionharvester.org to attend this class.

Caterpillars to Butterflies

Our caterpillars arrived just this afternoon! Over the next couple of weeks we should see them grow, enter the pupa stage, and emerge as lovely Painted Lady butterflies! Since they change quickly, here is how they looked on Day 1 (for us.)

Baseball Day

We had a beautiful day for our annual Baseball Day. Here are a few shots from the game, as well as some of the indoor learning activities.

Some already knew what they were doing.

Some were more interested in God's Creation around them.

Some were at the 'instructional' level.
And all were good sports!

The Silly Dance Contest

In music on Wednesday we practiced fast and slow. What better way to end the lesson than with the Silly Dance Contest with Jim Gill?
